Package: libpoppler19 Version: 0.18.4-3 Severity: normal Evince is painfully slow rendering some PDF's, when run under valgrind (in callgrind mode) I gave up after an hour with no render. The resulting call file shows nearly all time spent in libpoppler, with over 1.5 trillion calls to isBeforeByRule1 for example along with tens of millions of calls to other functions.
Even when not under valgrind it takes several minutes to render this PDF. This example file (happens on others, this is the worst I've seen) is available at: http://www.allen-heath.com/uk/Products/pages/ProductDetails.aspx?filename=DocumentMaster/uk/AP6822_5%20ZED14_18_24UG.pdf This machine is a Lenovo T410, Core i7 with 8GB of RAM (plenty free) -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libpoppler19 depends on: ii libc6 2.13-33 ii libfontconfig1 2.9.0-6 ii libfreetype6 2.4.9-1 ii libjpeg8 8d-1 ii liblcms1 1.19.dfsg-1.1 ii libopenjpeg2 1.3+dfsg-4.1 ii libpng12-0 1.2.49-1 ii libstdc++6 4.7.1-2 ii libtiff4 3.9.6-6 ii multiarch-support 2.13-33 Versions of packages libpoppler19 recommends: ii poppler-data 0.4.5-8 libpoppler19 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
