Package: vsftpd
Followup-For: Bug #679710
Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
The extra '}' character in line 36 needs to be removed manually by the admin.
Then the package manager can complete the upgrade.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
No upgrade or remove of the 3.0.3 version is possible until the file is
changed.
* What was the outcome of this action?
I could finally complete the update after two successive runs in synaptic.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Having an unpaired set of parenthesis should somehow be flagged automatically
during the package check-in. This should be an automatic rule, so this does
not happen again.
This would be useful for all debian packages.
Thanks,
Gerold Rupprecht
