Dear Maintainer, it would be nice to have a DBus .service file for dunst to allow for DBus activation, removing the need to start it manually. I tested it with the following snippet as /usr/share/dbus-1/services/dunst.service and it works for me. --- [D-BUS Service] Name=org.freedesktop.Notifications Exec=/usr/bin/dunst --- Cheers, sur5r -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages dunst depends on: ii libc6 2.13-33 ii libdbus-1-3 1.6.0-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.5.0-1 ii libxdg-basedir1 1.1.1-2 ii libxft2 2.3.1-1 ii libxinerama1 2:1.1.2-1 ii libxss1 1:1.2.2-1 dunst recommends no packages. dunst suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- ceterum censeo microsoftem esse delendam.
