INFO-DIR-SECTION TeX START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY * mf2pt1:: Produce PostScript Type 1 fonts from Metafont source END-INFO-DIR-ENTRY This is not a valid info direntry, because it doesn't specify the info file. A valid entry should look something like INFO-DIR-SECTION TeX START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY * mf2pt1: (mf2pt1). Produce PostScript Type 1 fonts from Metafont source END-INFO-DIR-ENTRY This causes corruption of the info dir file each time it is regenerated by update-info-dir.
