Please see bug: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=652089 and http://www.element14.com/community/thread/17738 CadSoft decided to release version 6 which is in compatible with nearly every distribution except OpenSuse. Even if you download it from their website you have to find and install extra libraries from someone else or ask them for extra files to get it to work.
