Severity: wishlist Package: lintian Hi,
I just stumbled upon lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Aug 3 12:27 libproc.so -> /lib/libproc-*.so It is obvious what was meant there, but it also resulted in all other packages depending on that library linking libproc.a instead. I doubt that we will have a library name with a * inside, so please add a check which throws an error to ensure that doesn't happen. Imho ftp-masters would like to add such a check to their blocks.
