Dear Hugo, It looks like without this entry in /etc/mime.types, some php pages were served as text on your system. Strangely, it did not occur for the whole WordPress installation, otherwise you would not have even had the welcome message. On my system, I made a quick test and Apache httpd is able to display correctly a trivial PHP page. Can you confirm that the bug still occurs with the latest version of Wheezy's packages for wordpress and libapache2-mod-php5 ?
