Package: netsurf-fb Version: 2.9-2 Severity: important File: /usr/bin/netsurf-fb
Dear maintainer, Thank you for providing the netsurf-fb package. I tried to use it within a tty session and could not make it work with the mouse. Launching netsurf outputs an error: init mouse failed. I could override the error with the following environment variable: export SDL_NOMOUSE=1 The browser will start but no mouse will be available. Once launched the browser renders the homepage of netsurf but then it seems frozen and the only way to shut it down is by killing it (SIGTERM) I wondered if gpm could cause some troubles, so I removed and purge gpm from my system and retried and the same behaviour occured. I have searched the netsurf wiki and could not found any documentation about this. I tried netsurf-fb in an X session (KDE) and mouse is managed and works well. Please find attached a verbose log of netsurf when SDL_NOMOUSE is not set. I am at your disposal for further investigation.
