Dear John, After a closer look, the problem with your 6.13 version looks familiar. It is one of those cases when a memcpy (memory copy) operation copies to a destination that overlaps with the source. BOINC hat a few sprintf instructions that printed to itself. Not nice - and fixed somewhen in the BOINC 7 series....if we have not overlooked that particular one.
My suggestion is that you update to that. The newer boinc also comes with a boinc-dbg package, so we could identify the issue directly. If I had looked right earlier, then I would also have earlier pointed you to the instructions on how to use the LD_PRELOAD environment variable as explained e.g. here http://forum.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=73108 Sorry for not being helpful earlier, many thanks and regards, Steffen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
