Package: smokeping
Version: 2.3.6-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

installing smokeping as slave.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

in /etc/default/smokeping, there is 2 commented lines, starting with
MASTER_URL and SHARED_SECRET. I uncommented them to start as slave,
as directed.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

did not start as slave. started as master

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

starting as slave. missing line was :
#MODE=slave
which is now uncommented on my setup
