Package: packaging-tutorial Version: 0.7 Severity: normal Hello Lucas, thanks a lot for writing this tutorial, for publishing it in a DFSG-free manner and for packaging it!
I noticed that the tutorial incorporates the Debian swirl (Debian Open Use Logo without "Debian" [1]), but the debian/copyright file does not document the copyright and license of this logo. According to Debian Policy section 12.5 and to the wheezy RC policy [2], this bug could perhaps be considered of severity serious. On the other hand, only a minor part of the package is not properly documented in the debian/copyright file, hence this bug could be regarded as a non-severe Policy violation (=> severity normal). I am a bit undecided, feel free to raise the severity as appropriate. Anyway, please fix the bug, by properly documenting the copyright and license of the swirl in the debian/copyright file. Thanks for your time! [1] http://www.debian.org/logos/#open-use [2] http://release.debian.org/wheezy/rc_policy.txt -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
