wicd connects normally on a WPA network. After attempting to connect to
a WEP network pinging the router returns "Destination Host Unreachable".
iwconfig indicates that encryption is off. I can connect (without
stopping wicd) by doing the following:
root@johnwtn220:/home/john# iwconfig wlan0 key s:<password>
root@johnwtn220:/home/john# ifconfig wlan0 down
root@johnwtn220:/home/john# ifconfig wlan0 192.168.100.7
root@johnwtn220:/home/john# route add default gw 192.168.100.1 wlan0
(I am using a static IP address)
