Package: bash
Version: 4.1-3
Severity: normal

Pressing tab to trigger completion causes bash to immediately emit its
mailcheck notification if the user has new mail, even though the primary
prompt is not being displayed. This is contrary to the man page
description of MAILCHECK, as well as the behavior of bash on other systems.
