When you run: #update-mime-database /usr/share/mime
You get: Unknown media type in type 'all/all' Unknown media type in type 'all/allfiles' Unknown media type in type 'uri/mms' Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmst' Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmsu' Unknown media type in type 'uri/pnm' Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspt' Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspu' Debian wheezy. Workaround: comment corresponding lines in: usr/share/mime/packages/kde.xml The real bug though should be addressed by those responsible for that file (kde.xml). I think the related bug is this: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=250924 But it says "fixed", while it is not. If you look at the attached file (DIFF) you see they still use the incorrect specs. So the real question is: we need to change the specs, or change kde.xml to conform with it as it is defined today? Also, adding a "-q" (for quiet) and hide the warning may be helpful, but it is not a real solution.
