-r options is used in useradd from Solaris and *BSD for specyfy NSS repository. Equivalent of -r options prior to shadow shadow-4.0.10 was "-O GID_MIN=1 -O UID_MAX=1" (in shadow shadow-4.0.11 undocumented -O options was renamed to -K which is similar to -K in Solaris useradd). Pushing -r option without consultation it is RH people "job". > I have commented more on this issue at, > > http://lists.debian.org/debian-lsb/2005/10/msg00010.html > > Other distros have fixed this but none have pushed the fix upstream. Functionality -M options as same -r options is avalaible by using -K CREATE_HOME=no. All without patching shadow code. kloczek -- ----------------------------------------------------------- *Ludzie nie mają problemów, tylko sobie sami je stwarzają* ----------------------------------------------------------- Tomasz Kłoczko, sys adm @zie.pg.gda.pl|*e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
