Package: webalizer
Version: 2.01.10-26
Severity: important
We are using webalizer in a production environment at Studentersamfundet
in Trondheim. Our problem is that, although we've specified the Quiet
and ReallyQuiet in webalizer.conf, it still seems to run with the
verbose variable specified in webalizer.c with a value larger than 0.
Our crond gives this output:
/etc/cron.daily/webalizer:
Warning: Truncating oversized referrer field
Warning: Truncating oversized date field
Skipping bad record (61459)
Warning: Truncating oversized referrer field
Warning: Truncating oversized date field
Skipping bad record (61459)
The problem is the two warnings we receive, as specified in parser.c and
webalizer.c, these messages should only be output when verbose is > 0,
which it should not be when setting the Quit and ReallyQuiet
parameters to yes.
I looked at bugreport 261046, which is stating much of the same problem,
except that this was never fixed :)
