Great!

If you read all of the bug report, you'll that I've run into a snag. I
wanted to include both it and another VM addon to emacs-goodies-el, but
the other file won't byte-compile without VM installed. This forces the
files to go into a separate binary package, which I don't want to
maintain since I don't use VM.

I asked Manoj Srivastava to maintain it but he has limited time and
intesrest (he doesn't use the add-ons).

So... Since you are happy to contribute to Debian, would you like to be
added as a developper on alioth.debian.org and maintain that part of
emacs-goodies-el ? You would be relieving Manoj of the burden I'm
placing on him. The project is here:

 https://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-goodies-el/

I would create the initial packaging for you, you would then maintain it
in CVS (fixing bugs and adding other VM addon files if you wished), and
I'd do the Debian releases.

Please think about it!
