It's not general comment, it's fact. I have already experienced tens of gtk
application which do things wrong (Also including famous one). And if they are
not widely used by CJK people, people won't care about it and just find
subitution.

I even maintain a page (http://fcitx-
im.org/wiki/Hall_of_Shame_for_Linux_IME_Support) for those application, and
even have written some blog about why gtk application is likely to break,
there is even a historical bug report (
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90082 ) which is reported 10 years
ago that points out the root cause of gtk.

If you want to know what I did in that patch, I simply let fcitx don't send
empty preedit for the second time, there is nothing related to key strokes. It
looks just like gnuermic have something wrong with dealing with empty preedit.

The fact that I can reproduce this with ibus also prove that it's gnumeric
bug, simply because only in some case ibus don't send empty preedit, it look
more "normal".
