Package: libglew-dev Version: 1.7.0-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
This is just a package problem, however it lead to a difficult bug to track. My program was probably not linked to the right library at running time. The end result was a segmentation fault the first time I ran into 'glGenBuffers'. Noticing that both version 1.7 and 1.5 of libglew were installed and removing the version 1.5 fixed the problem. This is probably just a minor transition issue, but I thought I should at least report it. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libglew-dev depends on: ii libgl1-mesa-dev [libgl-dev] 8.0.4-1 ii libglew1.7 1.7.0-3 ii libglu1-mesa-dev [libglu-dev] 8.0.4-1 libglew-dev recommends no packages. libglew-dev suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
