Decided to try out rdiff-backup, and just ran into this bug - frustrating to figure out, and really annoying. As a kludgy workaround, I suppose I'll have to issue separate rdiff-backup commands, one for the directories where I don't need the filesize limits, and a separate one for each directory that requires the limit (I'm backing up to a cloud service, and I'm limited by space and bandwidth).
