/etc/news/motd.nnrpd is no longer shipped as a conffile? How is it
generated (if at all)? I don't see it in my sid chroot (pbuilder,
policy-rc.d forbids starting any service).

If it were still a conffile shipped by inn2,
  dpkg-maint-script-helper mv_conffile
would be the correct tool.

And how is the new file being cleaned up on purge if it exists?
