As a means of tidying up directories created by versions of bins without this feature, it would then be useful to detect when the file has been copied (by doing a diff), and performing a symlink instead. You will need to detect whether the filesystem is capable of symlinks. Also: nitpick: `command` is considered a bad idiom.
