I have not given up to solve this bug. But actually I am still unable
to reproduce it. I have contacted upstream yesterday, but they were
quite busy and did not have time to look carefully at it. But this is an
ongoing task with them.
As I said in my previous email, could you report the output of glxinfo
(you can drop the part of the about visuals). It obviously did not crash
in the opengl implementation but it might be useful to know what are the
extensions that may be used or not during the animation.
It could also be helpful to understand your crash if we know whether it
occurs when you use cinnamon. In 1 or 2 weeks it is likely to be
uploaded to the archives. At that moment you can try it and tell if you
see the same problem.
