Otherwise, this patch seems fine to me. Nice job! Tagging patch accordingly: I propose we fix this bug that way, and clone/reassign/whatever to the policy if there's still disagreement, or need for clarification, on how to interpret the "local changes to configuration files must not be overridden" idea as far as symlinks are concerned.
