i can confirm also that with the exact same hardware and the exact same kernel version that the exact same bug occurs. i can also confirm that the exact same fix (download source from manufacturer and type "make") also solves the problem. the version of the compiler used to compile the manufacturer's supplied source code was gcc 4.3.
