Package: totem-mozilla Version: 3.6.3-1 Severity: wishlist Hello,
in consistency with many other packages in Debian that provide plugins for mozilla-compatible browsers, please consider renaming the "totem-mozilla" package to "browser-plugin-totem". Furthermore, it would be really helpful if the extended package description could briefly elaborate what kind of plugins the package is all about. Something like: "This package contains browser plugins that are compatible to: * Shockwave Flash (vegas) * DivX® Web Player (mully) * VLC Multimedia Plugin (cone) * QuickTime Plug-in (narrowspace) * Windows Media Player Plug-in 10 (gmp) " Please note that I deliberately mentioned the totem-internal names of the plugins to help understand what files are actually installed. Last but not least, I think it should be seriously considered to ship the vegas plugin at all. I have not yet found a web site on which it worked properly and it is currently in the way of better working alternatives. Maybe the "browser- plugin-gnash" package should get recommended instead, but that's already the topic of #673667. - Fabian -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (901, 'testing'), (502, 'unstable'), (501, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages totem-mozilla depends on: ii dbus-x11 1.6.8-1 ii libc6 2.13-37 ii libgcc1 1:4.7.2-4 ii libglib2.0-0 2.34.3-1 ii libstdc++6 4.7.2-4 ii libtotem-plparser17 3.4.2-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.5.0-1 ii totem 3.6.3-1 Versions of packages totem-mozilla recommends: ii epiphany-browser [www-browser] 3.4.2-2 ii iceweasel [www-browser] 17.0.1-1 ii lynx-cur [www-browser] 2.8.8dev.12-2 ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.3-8 totem-mozilla suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
