I think you are confusing things.
The reason you get all those errors is because you installed systemd
into /usr.

Of course this doesn't work, since Debian hasn't done the usr merge.
All the problems that follow are a result of that and we will obviously
build system with split-usr enabled.

I also don't see why this is relevant to e.g. the sysvinit maintainers,
so I've dropped all the CCs.
