Given my limited knowledge to Emacs Lisp, I tried several options, but none can keep Standard ML intact and specialize for Alice extensions at the same time. The options I tried include defining an Alice minor mode derived from sml-mode and defining a toggle function to turn on/off Alice-specific keywords. However, syntax highlight for Alice extension does not work as expected.
