Package: util-linux Version: 2.20.1-5.2 Severity: grave Yup, bug apparently still present: just reproduced on a UltraSparc IIIi SunFire V210, with util-linux's fdisk as planned for shipping with upcoming wheezy release.
I suspect a workaround could be to make sure no filesystem on the disk being repartationed is mounted, e.g. by booting Debian installer and running from an image in RAM while running fdisk.
