Package: nginx-common Version: 1.2.6-1 Severity: normal File: /etc/logrotate.d/nginx
The logrotate configuration sends an email whenever the pid information in /run/nginx.pid is incorrect. This seems to happen occasionally for me, not sure why but it should not produce any output nor fail when the pid file is empty or contains something other than the correct pid. > Date: Thu, 27 Dec 2012 17:18:15 +0800 > From: Anacron <root@host> > To: root@host > Subject: Anacron job 'cron.daily' on host > > /etc/cron.daily/logrotate: > kill: usage: kill [-s sigspec | -n signum | -sigspec] pid | jobspec ... or > kill -l [sigspec] > error: error running shared postrotate script for '/var/log/nginx/*.log ' > run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1 -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers experimental APT policy: (1900, 'experimental'), (1800, 'unstable'), (1700, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: armel armhf Kernel: Linux 3.7-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages nginx depends on: ii nginx-light 1.2.6-1 -- bye, pabs http://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
