Thanks a lot for the excellent backtrace. It looks like it could be related to libcanberra or PulseAudio, since the deadlock happens while playing a sound event. In any way it is unrelated to the GC changes, so that corroborates your testing of earlier versions. You can try disabling event sounds to see if that’s what actually causes the deadlocks.
