OTOH, although effectively it seems that there is no updates from the original author, there is at least a fork, according to http://repo.or.cz/w/guilt.git/forks. Per Cederqvist patches are really valuable. Maybe the maintainer can contact both, the original author and Mr. Cederqvist to check whether this fork can be used instead?
