First, try upgrading to 0.9.9-1, available from http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~teh30/debian/polipo/ This will hopefully be available in Debian soon. If that doesn't work, then I suggest disabling use of the proxy for ebay.com.au. It's not the kind of thing you want to be caching anyway.
