I installed bootchart2 on my Debian Testing system. But is not working
at all.
All I see on dmesg is:

Can you post more dmesg output, /etc/bootchartd.conf and /proc/cmdline
please? Which desktop environment are you using? It looks the dump
process is called but the collector was running.
the collector was NOT running
