I think it's just a matter of doing something like:
if which restorecon >/dev/null 2>&1; then
restorecon PATH
fi
after having performed metadata changes through chmod, chown or
dpkg-statoverride for example. But then I've never run a SE Linux
enabled system, so I can't test this myself, you might want
to ask the people at [email protected] for some
testing.
