The database user 'ledgersmb' is used by default in the LedgerSMB package for database administrative functions like creating new databases at http://localhost/ledgersmb/setup.pl. There are known issues with the automatic LedgerSMB package configuration process, which is why it is not enabled by default. If that process is selected, however, the 'ledgersmb' database administration user/role is created but does not get configured with the correct security access.
