Mercurial 2.2.2 suffers from a bug when handling renames within the repository which causes merges to fail with a 'abort: path contains illegal component:' message. It has been fixed upstream (see the details at http://bz.selenic.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3511) with quite a simple patch. This bugs affects various real-world repositories (currently I'm seeing it on the main pypy repository for example), and is likely to severely impact on the usability of mercurial in wheezy.
