* What led up to the situation?
I am running nginx as the only HTTP server on this machine and
have uninstalled apache2. gosa installation failed at the
"setting up" stage:

Making /gosa available in /etc/apache2/conf.d
/var/lib/dpkg/info/gosa.postinst: 57:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/gosa.postinst: a2enmod: not found
dpkg: error processing gosa (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error
exit status 127

ineffective)?
sudo ln -s /bin/true /usr/local/bin/a2enmod
* What was the outcome of this action?
this silenced the error, allowing installation to proceed.
