which version are you on? I don't see the iscsitarget-module package as Recommends in the latest version. > As iscsitarget requires a kernel module, and is quite useless without > one, I suppose it should also declare iscsitarget-module or > iscsitarget-dkms, or any other suitable package that contains, or can be > used to build the module, as a dependency instead of a recommendation > or even a suggestion ? > Striclty, the iscsitarget-dkms does not really qualify as a Depends. Recommends are used for packages, without which, a major functionality would be unavailalbe. Image a developer building his own custom iscsitarget modules. They don't need the dependency. In the current Debian behavior, Recommends are supposed to be auto pulled in. So that already satisfies the basic relationship. -- Ritesh Raj Sarraf RESEARCHUT - http://www.researchut.com "Necessity is the mother of invention." -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
