Package: enigmail
Version: 2:1.1.2-2~bpo60+1
Severity: grave

Following a (possibly automatic) upgrade I have lost the functionality
to sign/encrypt Emails with this add-on. I admit that I have been
confused by whether upgrading via use of Enigmail packages from the
product's creator site using the Add-in install from file is supposed to
work or not, but after forcing a reinstall of both with Synaptic which
has an up to date package database of the repositories listed the add-on
manager shows this add-on as being disabled because of incompatibility.
I have restored system operability by downgrading both to current stable
versions but this suggests an issue with the back-ported versions.
As a side issue generally, enigmail reports that it "Enhances" Icedove
(which it does when it works) but Icedove seems to neither "Recommends"
not "Suggests" Enigmail.
I had chosen to use these particular software items as I use Enigmail
with the parent Thunderbird product on the Redmond based Operating
Systems provider platform so it is helpful to me to try and keep
versions that are compatible across different systems.
