control: severity -1 serious control: tags -1 - unreproducible This upgrade bug is trivially reproducible -- install and configure ocsinventory-server with dbconfig-common in squeeze and then upgrade to wheezy.
http://piuparts.debian.org/squeeze2wheezy/bugged/ocsinventory- server_2.0.5-1.log Setting up ocsinventory-server (2.0.5-1) ... Configuration file `/etc/ocsinventory/ocsinventory.conf' ==> File on system created by you or by a script. ==> File also in package provided by package maintainer. What would you like to do about it ? Your options are: Y or I : install the package maintainer's version N or O : keep your currently-installed version D : show the differences between the versions Z : start a shell to examine the situation The default action is to keep your current version. *** ocsinventory.conf (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ? It is not possible to convert a config file into a conffile as has been done in this package between squeeze and wheezy. The new conffile will always have a different md5sum to the currently installed file and so dpkg will prompt on upgrade. The solution to this bug is probably to move the config file template back to /usr/share and copy into /etc on install (not upgrade) and if the config file does not already exist. cheers Stuart -- Stuart Prescott http://www.nanonanonano.net/ stu...@nanonanonano.net Debian Developer http://www.debian.org/ stu...@debian.org GPG fingerprint BE65 FD1E F4EA 08F3 23D4 3C6D 9FE8 B8CD 71C5 D1A8 GPG fingerprint 90E2 D2C1 AD14 6A1B 7EBB 891D BBC1 7EBB 1396 F2F7
