This is actually only one of several places where amandabackup is coded
in various scripts.  I've fixed this and a number of others in my
pending upload of 3.3.2-1.  

Will ask the release folks if they're willing to unblock an amanda
upload to get this fixed in 3.3.1 for wheezy.
