With "due to non-GPL compatible licensing" you refer to the CPL, I suppose. Could you elaborate on why the CPL is an issue? The last upstream release was in April 2010, the upstream bug tracker has 5 tickets in total, the last dating from 2009. This looks like upstream development is not really active any more.
