Package: libltdl-dev
Version: 2.4.2-1.1
Severity: normal
Hello,
/usr/share/doc/libltdl-dev/copyright tells about GPL.
But looking at the source of libtool, the libltdl/ directory contains
COPYING.LIB (LGPL), and licensecheck confirms source files as announcing
LGPL.
So /usr/share/doc/libltdl-dev/copyright should tell about LGPL, not GPL.
This is especially important for a BSD program which makes use of
libltdl to allow loading of plugins of any kind of licence. If libltdl
was GPL, the plugin-capable BSD program, once linked against libltdl,
would become GPL.
