It would really be terrific to grep throught the compilation logs and check for the presence of -DNDEBUG. Use of -DNEBUG is considered EBW [1] Another approach could be to grep through d/rules files for expression like: -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE:STRING=Release but this is highly build generator dependant.
