Actually, it ships it directly in the source code, which is why I didn't notice the new dependency. Here's a pull request to fix that: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/2241 LevelDB is, I believe, this package in Debian: http://packages.qa.debian.org/l/leveldb.html A. -------------------------- Email 2: -------------------------- On Wed, 20 Feb 2013 02:47:38 Antoine Beaupré wrote: > LevelDB is, I believe, this package in Debian: > > http://packages.qa.debian.org/l/leveldb.html About that: for the record (as you may already noticed) our [Debian] leveldb is incomplete and doesn't ship "memenv" component required by Bitcoin. I filed #701075 to address the issue. I was able to build Bitcoin-0.8.0 with patched leveldb from "experimental" and it passed all post-build tests for bitcoin-qt and for bitcoind. Unless upstream will make building with system leveldb easier I will make "unbundle-leveldb.patch" available as soon as leveldb maintainer respond to proposed update.
