Hi, according to the SANE website [1], the Canon LiDE 20 has complete support in SANE, so it should be working with the current version from unstable or experimental.
Could the original bug report give it a try with libsane from either unstable or experimental and report back? I would like to close this bug report. Also, as for the Canon LiDE 25. This model has a different USB id, so it might behave differently (it uses the same backend, namely plustek, however).
