Hi,
my sponsor did build the package in a chroot without /proc mounted
resulting in the configure test failing. He is doing a recompile for
i386 now so it should be fixed tomorrow.
I tested a compile with --with-proc but that doesn't have the desired
effect. Without /proc mounted it still disables proc support. So I'm
not going to change the source as this would require a larger change
just to verify the build environment is sane.

PS: The BTS has version tracking now so please report bugs with the
version that has the bug installed in the future. The BTS now assumes
this bug exists in 1.1-3 which is wrong.
