According to the dkms manual page, this is not needed. So they broke
things.

For reference to the dkms maintainers; this is ndiswrapper's dkms.conf:

        PACKAGE_NAME="ndiswrapper"
        PACKAGE_VERSION="@VERSION@"
        DEST_MODULE_LOCATION[0]="/updates"
        AUTOINSTALL="yes"
