I upgrade to 2.1.7-7 today and noticed a small mistake in the
README.Debian file. It says:
1. Move /etc/ssl/certs/dovecot.pem to /etc/dovecot
2. Create a directory called /etc/dovecot/private owned by root:root
with 0700 permissions.
3. Move /etc/ssl/certs/private/dovecot.pem to /etc/dovecot/private
The third step should have been
3. Move /etc/ssl/private/dovecot.pem to /etc/dovecot/private
instead -- there is no /etc/ssl/certs/private directory here.
Finally, could the upgrade script not take care of this by itself if it
sees that the 10-ssl.conf file has the default paths? That would be nice
so that the upgrade doesn't result in a server that wont start.
